I had some questions around MP20, TSS and IF.
MP20 = Max Average Power for 20 minutes. Considered the ultimate fitness evaluation number.
I have slowly seen my MP20 increase over the past several months.
TSS = Training Stress Score
IF = Intensity Factor

i assume that MP20 is considered the cornerstone of fitness due to the fact that this is where the mean max power curve begins to flatten out....therefor any improvement in MP20 automatically raises every sub 20min MP. (in other words, i can do sprint workouts and improve my 5sMP but it will have no effect on MP20....but if i raise MP20, it will raise my 5sMP).
TSS is basically an IF to time formula (although if you add KJ's to your IF/TSS chart you will see that TSS is basically KJ's).
IF is the perecntage of normalized power to the LT number you entered in your athlete home page (far upper right)....so if i entered an LT of 200watts and then did a crit where i my ave watts were 300, the IF would be 1.5....if i did a recovery ride with ave watts of 100, my IF would be 0.5)....this is why they suggest that you update the LT values on your homepage regularly.
the other option with IF, is that you can use it to see if your LT has increased...say you did a bethel crit (spring) and your IF was .95. then in june you do hartford and your IF is 1.35 (and you haven't changed your LT on the homepage)....this would indicate an increase in LT power.
the one that i don't understand is VI...they don't define it anywhere in the help section.
actually, i stand corrected:
IF is the ratio of ave power (not normalized power) to your stated LT
VI is the ratio of norm power to your LT. (hence the reason VI is usually higher than your IF)
Fredzilla you are showing pro #'s in your traning, keep it up. Weneed replacements for Basso and Valverde.
